German tuner MR Car Design has turned the Ford Focus RS into an Audi RS3 and 1-Series M competitor.

The Erfstadt-based tuner ups the power quotient on the Focus RS from 305 PS (225 kW / 301 bhp) to 360 PS (265 kW / 355 bhp) by means of an ECU remap, in-house exhaust and downpipe, 200-cell catalytic converter and a sport air filter from K&N.

A little weight also gets dropped from the Focus RS, and all that tuning work is good for a substantial reduction of the series model's 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 5.9 seconds. Without providing any specifics, MR Car Design says their version handily beats the original.

The Focus RS also gets a Variant 1 KW coilover suspension to better manage those lateral forces on the road.
